Brand & Art Direction

Yorvessa Form

01 — Statement

A small studio drawing brand identities, publications and digital surfaces for people who would rather be quietly unmistakable than briefly loud.

Material study — linen texture

Plate i — Material study

02 — Philosophy

Four tenets, no manifesto poster

01

Restraint is a decision

Every element on a page has to argue for its place. What remains is not minimal by default — it is what survived the argument.

02

Form follows voice

We listen before we draw. The typography, the spacing, the crop: all of it is your tone of voice, made visible.

03

Craft is measurable

Optical alignment, kerning passes, contrast ratios, print tolerances. Taste is subjective; execution is not.

04

Systems outlive campaigns

We build identities your team can extend for years without diluting them — documented, flexible, unmistakably yours.

"They spent two hours asking about how we speak before they showed a single mark. That is why the identity still feels like us."

Marguerite Halloran — Founder, Sable & Ivy Ceramics

"They showed us the paper before the pitch. That told us everything."

05 — Process

Five movements, in the
order they actually happen

  1. I Stage

    Listening

A long conversation and a short document. We collect the language you already use and the language you avoid.

  2. II Stage

    Framing

Positioning, adjacency, references. We agree what the work must do before we agree what it looks like.

  3. III Stage

    Drawing

Directions are built as full compositions, never as thumbnails. You see them in context, to real scale.

  4. IV Stage

    Refining

Optical correction, kerning passes, contrast checks. This is the slow part and is where quality lives.

  5. V Stage

    Releasing

Documentation, systems, clean source files and a handoff session with whoever builds or prints.

"The refining stage is where most studios stop. Yorvessa Form kept going for another week, unasked."
Devon Aldrich — Creative Lead, Northmoor Coffee

07 — Voices

"We asked for a logo. What we received was a way of speaking that our whole team now uses without thinking about it."
Ilse Norrgård — Director, Atelier Norr
Every file arrived named, layered and documented. Our developers noticed before we did.
Peter Vance
CTO, Larkfield Health
"The packaging concept survived three rounds of internal politics untouched. That never happens."
Adaeze Umoren — Head of Product, Vellichor Goods
Calm, exact, and never precious about their own ideas.
Rowan Kessler — Owner, Kessler Bindery
